Privacy

What we collect

• Account info: if you create an account, we store your name, email, and (for credentials sign-in) a bcrypt hash of your password. For Google or Facebook sign-in, we store the profile name + email + avatar URL the provider returns.
• Activity: we log search queries, dog page views, and which dogs you favorite. This is used for the site's leaderboards and to fix broken queries. We never sell this data and don't share it with third parties.
• Uploads: any dog photo you upload is stored on Vercel Blob (a CDN) and shown on that dog's public page.
• Cookies: a single session cookie keeps you signed in (JWT, set by Auth.js). No third-party analytics cookies.

Where the dog data comes from

The ranking data shown on this site is sourced from the American Kennel Club's public Fast CAT rankings page at apps.akc.org/apps/fastcat_ranking. Dog names, breeds, sex, and MPH values are AKC's data. We refresh weekly. Coursing Club is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the AKC.

Data removal

If you'd like a specific dog removed, your account deleted, or anything else corrected, email nandortherelentless2026@gmail.com and we'll handle it within 7 days. AKC: same address — we'll comply with any takedown request promptly.

Auth providers

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, you agree to their respective privacy policies. We only ask those providers for your basic profile + email.

Changes

We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes meaningfully. The current version always lives at /privacy.
